I have heard so many great things about Maine. I cannot wait to check it out for myself.

One of the first things I want to do is check out Acadia National Park. The next thing is head to Monhegan Island.

Apparently, Monhegan Island in Maine is a 10 mile long island that doesn’t have any cars. It’s only accessible by boat and everyone gets around on bikes.

It sounds like a dream!

Unfortunately, we can’t take the RV to the island, but it will definitely still be worth it.

The second-largest lake in Maine and its deepest lake is Sebago Lake. The park’s 1,400 acres are home to extensive New England woodlands, bogs, ponds, rivers, sandy beaches, and a variety of flora and fauna.

There are 250 campsites in the park’s campgrounds, however due to its popularity, you should make reservations well in advance. They start taking bookings in February, and they frequently fill up quickly. You may visit this park year-round and have a great time while you’re there.  Late summer and early fall are the ideal times.

On the Saco Family Campground

While you let your children play on the playground, you can swim in the enormous heated pool.  Ogunquit and York beaches are close by if you want to visit the seashore.
