Ohio’s eastern border with West Virginia is not far from this site, which may be found in Marietta. This is a basic site, so don’t expect a lot of frills. Evergreen Park RV Resort is a great Ohio campsite, and it’s located less than an hour’s drive from Akron in the state’s largest Amish settlement. There are 87 asphalt, roomy, and fully-serviced campsites for RVs at the RV park.

The amazing pool house at Evergreen Park features an indoor pool, hot tub, a workout area, a snack bar, and an arcade, making it the park’s biggest feature. Pools often have their roofs opened on sunny, breezy days.

Wilmington RV Resort

The Wilmington RV park may be found near Wilmington, Ohio, midway between Cincinnati and Dayton. Around 170 acres in size, this location boasts a picturesque lake and other convenient features. There is a clubhouse, swimming pool, mini golf course, laundry facilities, hot tub, trails for hiking, and even restrooms and showers.

Pets are permitted provided they are registered and kept on a leash no longer than 10 feet. Free Wi-Fi in a few strategic locations. A dump station is available. It’s also worth noting that there is a cap of 30 amps for the hookups. A shorter season of only 17 days from April 17 to 21 days in October is another disadvantage. If you need something straightforward, this is a fantastic choice.

The Buckeye Lake Columbus East KOA is only 1.5 miles off Highway 70, making it easily accessible without being too close that you can hear the traffic. There is a lot of open space and tree cover at this campground. Space, level ground, and trees all characterize the RV sites. 

There are water and electrical hookups for both back-in and pull-through sites. Your dog will love the freedom of the fenced dog park. Swimming, shuffleboard, mini-golf, horseshoes, jumping pillow, playground, gaming room, gigantic checkers, and so much more are just some of the recreational facilities available to you.

Shadow Lake RV Park

Alton RV Park is among the most accessible parks in Columbus for RV tourists. Campers have easy access to everything Columbus has to offer, as the campground is located just nine miles west of the city center and 11mi from The Ohio State University.

There are 35 fully serviced campsites in the RV park’s lush landscaping. While there aren’t many things to do at the campground itself, every camper has access to a camp store, free Wi-Fi, and clean, modern showers and washing machines.

Cutty’s Sunset Camping Resort

More than 40 restored homes, businesses, and public buildings make up Ohio’s largest living-history hamlet, known as Sauder Village. About seventy-five recreational vehicles can be parked at the campground and many of the sites have full services.

Campers can also take advantage of the fishing lake, basketball court, children’s playground, and splash pad in addition to exploring the old hamlet. Campers can also use the Sauder Heritage Inn’s indoor pool, hot tub, and game room.

Rhonda and Joe Landis, the site’s proprietors, greet its guests like they’re a part of their own family. Camping is not permitted during the winter months because the facility is only accessible from April to November 1. This gorgeous campground is ideal for those who wish to camp in comfort without sacrificing the outdoorsy vibe they crave.

An 80ft pool, paddle boats, basketball and volleyball courts, a train ride, a dog park, mini golf, and plenty of other activities are all available at this location. Olive Branch Campground

The Kings Island Amusement Site, Coney Island Waterpark and the Cincinnati Zoo are just a short drive from Olive Branch Campground, a family-owned park situated just 30mi northeast of Cincinnati. In addition to the regular schedule of events, they also host a number of fun-filled, themed weekends each year, such as  a chili cook-off and a pirate festival.

There are both back-in and pull-through options, as well as complete hookups and a dump station. Sewer and electricity are available at the campground all year, as is the ability to cook over an open fire, but the water is turned off between November to March, and the campground’s showers and restrooms are closed at the same time.

The Resort at Erie Landing

There’s a small but welcoming RV park along Cincinnati and Columbus called Sun Valley Campground, and it’s only six miles from Chillicothe, Ohio. It’s a great place to stay while visiting Tar Hollow State Park, Ross Lake Wilderness Area, and other nearby attractions.

There are 45 RV campsites available at Sun Valley Campground, 11 of which provide full hookups with 20/30/50 amp and 25 of which provide only water and electricity. The RV sites are both back-in and pull-through, so even the largest rigs will have room. It is realistic to believe that the ambiance in the Hocking Hills area is calm and tranquil, given that it attracts thousands of visitors each due to its rich resources and attractive natural assets. True, but there’s a lot more to do in the area than just relax. Zip line, canoeing, and day trips to nearby waterfalls and caverns are just a few of the exciting adventure activities available in this area. Yes, we did just mention caves and waterfalls.

Two of the campsites are designated as “premium” and may accommodate RVs up to 40 feet in length; another four are designated as “deluxe”; 15 have full hookups; 30 have water and electric; and six have electric alone. There is a general store, a pizza kitchen, and free Wi-Fi. There are 23 miles of trails within the park that can be used for hiking, biking, and equestrian riding. The Mohican and Loudonville region is commonly referred to as the “Canoe Capital of Ohio,” and for good cause. The Clear Fork River in Mohican State Park is a fantastic place to go canoeing, kayaking, or any other type of paddle sport. The PORT Campground and Docks in Athens County on the Hocking River are not to be missed by seasonal campers or boat owners. Alum Creek State Park has some of the best fall foliage in the state and is a wonderful place to visit overall. This campground is open year-round and is situated in a wooded region rich with old trees that bloom with rich hues in the fall.

Campers and RVers are impressed by the big sites and secluded, tree-lined locations. There are a total of 308 campsites available, 24 of which have full water, power, and sewer hookups. Additionally, there are 231 standard electric campsites and 31 deluxe electric campsites. In addition to the readily available restrooms, there is also a trash station and a place to fill up on clean water.

Campsites at Tappan Lake Park are located across from the stunning 2,350-acre Tappan Lake, making it ideal for families who enjoy swimming, boating, fishing, water skiing, tubing, and wakeboarding.

This is a sizable campground, with space for more than 500 campers. All of the RV sites provide full hookups. Campers appreciate the spotless facilities and the ease with which they can back into their sites. In addition, most places will accept pets. There are limited seasonal camping permits available from April to October if you’re interested in staying longer.

What’s more, if you get tired of being outdoors for a while, you can always drive to Kings Island amusement park and ride some roller coasters. There are plenty of opportunities for outdoor activity at Great Seal State Park, which spans 1,862 acres and includes a campground, a hunting area, and trails suitable for bicycling, hiking, and even horseback riding. The park is located in the rugged hills that used to be home to the Shawnee people and is dedicated to preserving the untamed wilderness of Ohio, the park features primitive tent and equestrian camping, and a network of hiking trails through the area.

The maximum length for vehicles staying at this campground is 26 feet. Tent camping on a lake island is like a small piece of heaven. Fishing, kayaking, hiking, and a shallow beach are all possible during the day.

Salt Fork State Park

Salt Fork State Park is Ohio’s biggest State Park with 17,229 acres. It’s a great spot for RV camping, and it’s also a lovely site to go hiking and exploring the outdoors. All levels of hikers can enjoy the area’s many recreational opportunities, which include easy and advanced trails, a beach, an 18-hole golf course, and even a mini golf course.

Hocking Hills State Park

The Old Man’s Cave is a prominent attraction in Hocking Hills. Starting from Old Man’s Cave, the trail travels a total of six miles to reach Cedar Falls and Ash Cave within the park. North Country Scenic Trail, Ohio’s Buckeye Trail, and America’s Discovery Trail all include this path. In this park, guests can go river swimming and tubing.
