Tillicum Beach Campground is yet another fantastic campground located right on the sand. The park is great for whale watching, and many campsites have views of the beach. You may enjoy a day of hiking, swimming, and tidal pooling.

You should be aware that the coastal sites lack water and electrical hookups. It’s going to be worth it if you are able to forego these comforts for a few days. Reservations of the campsites  can be booked up to six months in advance, but they do tend to fill up quickly.

This campground, which is a part of Wallowa Whitman National Forest, is renowned for being among the biggest forest service campgrounds in Eastern Oregon. With 129 total campsites, many of which have adequate room for the largest RVs, it has an expansive layout.

This RV park may be among the best in Oregon because many of the spots have full connections while others only have water and electricity. It is simple to understand how Union Creek Campground is so popular when you consider its rustic location in such a pine tree forest, its vicinity to Phillips Reservoir, its accessibility to Baker City, and vistas of the Elkhorn Mountains.

Bullards Beach State Park

A sizable, kid-friendly campground is available near Bullards Beach, which is located in the world’s storm-watching capital. You may reach the beach by taking a mile-long walk that leads past the Coquille River. Biking on the beach and neighboring trails, fishing, and animal viewing at Bandon Marsh National Wildlife Refuge are also popular local pastimes.

The preferred RV campground in Crater Lake National Park is Mazama Campground. There are only two campgrounds in the national park, and it stands out for its sizable size, peaceful woodland setting, and RV-friendliness. 

Depending on the season of year, there are 214 campsites available, with a mix of RV and tent sites. RV campers can choose between full and partial hookups. It is only accessible during summer normally from June to September, but dates can change depending on snow. On-site amenities include restrooms having showers and flush toilets, laundry facilities, RV dump station, and a camp store.

Nehalem Bay State Park

The campground is tucked amid sand dunes as well as a pine forest on a four-mile sand spit. The modest airport and fly-in camp at this campground set it apart from others. Wallowa Lake State Park

This expansive campground, which is situated in Eastern Oregon close to the small town of Joseph, offers 210 campsites, 121 of which have full hookups. The remaining campsites are appropriate for dry RV camping and tent camping. There are also rentals for two yurts.

On-site amenities include warm showers, contemporary restrooms with flush toilets, and an RV dump station. Wallowa Lake is well-known for boating and fishing in addition to camping. The state park is close to numerous hiking and equestrian riding routes that span miles. The renowned Hells Canyon, North America’s largest and deepest gorge, is only a short drive.

Another well-liked Oregon RV stop that features local hot springs. The RV park is situated in a secluded area of Eastern Oregon, making it ideal for people in search of peace and quiet. Guests can unwind in the midst of an apparently barren swath of Oregon desert around 25mi from the quaint town of Burns.

LaPine State Park, located south of Bend, is undeniably one of the finest Central Oregon RV parks. Located in the midst of a peaceful subalpine forest. The clean, fresh air is perfect for RV camping throughout the year. The best part is that it’s directly adjacent to the Deschutes River, where you can go fishing, swimming, or floating.

There are 82 full-service campsites and an additional 47 campsites that have electricity and running water. Ten log cottages, five basic and five upscale, are available for guests. The facilities include a dump station for RVs, a convenience store, and clean, well-maintained restrooms with both sinks and showers.

Cape Lookout State Park

Cape Lookout is a tourist place in northern Oregon due to its stunning scenery and convenient beach access. Over eight miles of paths provide excellent opportunities for exercise and exploration throughout the park. Aside from the beach and bay, there is also a pristine old-growth forest.

Camp Sherman Campground

The Deschutes River Valley, where Camp Sherman is located, is one of the favorite places in all of Oregon. Deschutes National Forest, to be exact. Rivers, forests, hills, and just about all of Oregon’s other natural attractions may be found in this region. Camping at these locations is much less hectic, as there is usually nothing around them. You and the outside world are alone.

There is something for everyone at this campground. Those who prefer hiking to riding will find plenty of opportunities for both. They provide fishing and fly-fishing opportunities. In some spots, you can even get there by boat. You will enjoy spending time here since I can enjoy nature by simply listening to the sounds of the local fauna.

Harris Beach State Park

Harris Beach is an excellent destination for marine life enthusiasts and those curious about the tidal pool ecosystem along the Oregon coast. A wide variety of marine mammals and avian species call this area home. When the gray whales migrate, you can see them too.

The campsite looks out over a beautiful stretch of coast that features sea stacks and a sizable island. There’s many sandy beaches and fantastic tide pools in this area. There are a total of 65 campsites available, and an additional 25 offer electricity and water. On-site amenities include hot showers, flush toilets, and a dump station for wastewater.

Silver Falls State Park

Silver Falls State Park, the “crown jewel” of Oregon State Parks, has numerous trails for hikers. Additionally, a waterfall plunging 177 feet into the valley can be found there. Reunions, potlucks, and even weddings have taken place here for generations.

From Howard Creek Horse Camp, you may ride through the beautiful, lush countryside and keep an eye out for local species. Umpqua Lighthouse State Park

Umpqua Lighthouse is ideal for those seeking a lakeside location close to the beach. An unusual camping experience may be had at Umpqua, which is close to both the coast and Winchester Bay. Sunny Valley Campground

The campground is easily accessible from Interstate 5’s Exit 71 in the state’s southwestern corner. Every year, hordes of tourists converge on this area to take advantage of the world-class hunting, fishing, and wilderness exploration opportunities.

There is no aspect of Sunny Valley RV Park that isn’t welcoming to kids. The hosts are friendly and helpful, creating an attractive and comfortable environment. Cape Blanco State Park

Cape Blanco is the best place to see the coast for miles, and there are also lighthouses and historical sites to explore. There are almost eight miles of paths in the park, some of which lead directly to the beach whereas others lead to scenic overlooks, the lighthouse, and even fishing sites along the Sixes River.

The Historic Hughes House and Cape Blanco Lighthouse are two of the park’s historical attractions. The lighthouse has been shining its light along the Oregon coast longer than any other. The campground has 53 sites with water and power, as well as hot showers and flush toilets.

Cottonwood Canyon State Park

Cottonwood Canyon is also an Oregon state park that is great for RVs and is a fisherman’s paradise. Carp, catfish and smallmouth bass can all be found in plenty in the neighboring John Day River. There are a plethora of creeks within the region that are ideal for anglers.

In addition, there are countless miles of trails in the area that are ideal for hikers and equestrians. The campground itself is rustic, yet it can accommodate most campers with their own facilities. There are no RV hookups available, so you should be comfortable dry camping prior to your trip.

Humbug Mountain State Park

Different types of landscapes, from sandy beaches to deep gorges and towering mountains, can be found within the confines of this state park. The campground enjoys year-round high temperatures because of the canyon’s favorable environment. Popular activities include scuba diving, surfing, and beachcombing. 

There are only 39 campsites with electricity at this park. You won’t be able to use either running water or a sewage system. Guests at the campground have access to flush toilets, hot showers, and running water. This park is so popular that reservations are required due to its limited size. Venues can be reserved as far in advance as nine months.

Sunset Bay State Park

Sunset Bay is a typical Oregon beach, with its sandy coastlines and towering cliffs. There are a plethora of hiking routes in the location that connect to two additional state parks, and hikers will appreciate exploring them.

Stunning vistas may be seen from the headlands at the end of the trails that run through the coastal woodlands. The railroad theme that has made this RV park popular when it debuted in 1968. The park features a train depot, track, and bridge as well as other train-related artifacts. In order to have a different perspective of the park, visitors can ride a train. RV parking is available in a wooded area that spans 19 acres and offers views of passing trains during the day.

All of the amenities of home, including running water, electricity, and use of the campground’s laundry facility, are at your fingertips at one of these premium RV sites. There are also BBQ grills and picnic tables available for use by guests. There are both RV spots and tent spots available.

This campground is not on the beach itself, but its proximity to numerous other great beaches in Oregon earns it a spot on our list of recommended places to stay in the state. Both Cannon Beach and Fort Stevens are easily accessible. Astoria, where The Goonies was shot, is a must-see for any fan of the movie.

This KOA is exceptional for many reasons, not the least of which is its location on a bluff overlooking the beautiful Alsea Bay. The large RV sites, clean bathrooms, and variety of free and paid activities (like Netflix and bike rentals) are all big draws.

You can easily spend a day at this RV park relaxing in your rig, but we recommend instead taking the trip to the beach. There are both sandy beaches and rocky outcrops, so you can go spelunking in tide pools and play in the sand simultaneously. Visit the Sea Lion Caves on your way there.

Camp Blanco RV Park

Nearby attractions, such as the Prehistoric Gardens, Hughes House, Cape Blanco Lighthouse, and a vintage motorcycle museum, are easily accessible from the Camp Blanco RV Park, which is located on the coast of the state. In comparison to the previous campground, Frog Lake Campground has a slightly larger customer base. The area around Frog Lake is quite rural. All the typical amenities found at Oregon campgrounds are here. You can do whatever you want on the water—swim, boat, or fish—because it’s so relaxing.

This spot is large enough to accommodate a recreational vehicle. An RV that is too big for your needs is not an option. Something that is lower than 22 feet. It is not possible to connect to any services. Off-road vehicles and mountain bikes are welcome. There’s a ton of hiking to be had.
