If you want to escape the winter snow, Texas is the place to visit. You can escape the cold and spend some time in the sun anywhere from the Dallas metro area to the beaches south of Houston.
Texas is both a massive and fascinating state, and even in multiple trips, it would be impossible to see it all. As a texas local, I would recommend a visit The Alamo in San Antonio, the Houston Museum of Natural Science, and Texas Hill Country. If you’re up, for a longer drive, Big Bend National Park is also a must see!
Make the most of your time in Texas by taking in some of the regional sights and tastes too. You won’t go hungry with options ranging from the seafood in Galveston to the bbq in Austin and to the Mexican delicacies in San Antonio.
It’s impossible to visit Texas and not have your senses pleasantly surprised. If you’d like to see more options, considering check out our other post: Best RV Resorts in Texas.
