The county seat is less than 10 min away, and it’s easily accessible from both Interstate 41 and Interstate 39. However, one feature that campers can use that isn’t found very often is access to two boat docks. There is a public boat dock within the campground and a beach within walking distance of the camping areas.

The Wisconsin River provides a front-row seat to the upper dells, and the area rents out watercraft (ski boats, jet skis, pontoon boats for tubing and skiing, paddle boats, paddle boards), provides boat slips, and offers guided jet ski tours. You can find the beginning of a hidden hiking trail at site one, which is located next to the river.

The park is on an island, close to a pristine natural area, yet it provides city conveniences like an ATM and mail service. The ice cream shop, among other treats, is sure to be a hit with the kids. In case you’re not in the mood to prepare food, the snack bar serves pizza and appetizers, and if you need firewood, it’s brought right to your campsite.

All the campsites offer at least basic utilities, and many of them have all you need. Each site comes with a fire pit and picnic table, and you can select from 20/30/50 amp service when you make your reservation. The majority of the campsites are located in close proximity to the water, yet you can also choose a spot right on the shore. If your rig is particularly large, you have the option of either a pull-through or back-in site.

Harrington Beach State Park is well-known for its beachside camping on Lake Michigan. As if it weren’t enough, there are also many other exciting things to enjoy throughout your stay. Put in some serious time in the pool, in the kayak, on two wheels, or even four. It’s worth your time to travel to neighboring Port Washington and Belgium for a taste of real Wisconsin.

Each campsite is private and has its own gravel parking area and grassy area. There are a total of 69 separate campsites available in the park, 31 of which have access to electricity, 33 that do not, and 3 that are available on a first-come, first-served basis. There is a fire ring and picnic table at each camping spot.

There are 28 of these spots that have power available. During your stay, explore the surrounding area on foot and check out the forty-foot-tall Copper Falls. Interstate is one of the nicest and oldest state parks in Wisconsin. Interstate, Minnesota, was founded in the year 1900, and it is situated on the beautiful St. Croix National Scenic Riverway. The spectacular scenery along the river and in the steep-sided gorge called Dalles of the St. Croix more than justify the effort.

A film, images, murals, and information about Wisconsin’s glacial history can be found at Ice Age Interpretive Center, which is located nearby. There are 82 electric-only campsites at Interstate. There are also showers and a trash station with potable water on the premises for your convenience. Booking in advance is recommended. There are seasonal activities, fishing and hunting, canoe rentals, and a swimming beach close by.

Pattison State Park

The park spans 1,400 acres and features numerous picturesque waterfalls. There are nearly nine miles of trails to explore, in addition to the 62 campsites. To accommodate your recreational vehicle, 18 of these sites have electricity. The scenery here is perfect for a family outing. There is a dump station, but no water or sewer connections. In the warmer months, guests can take advantage of the on-site showers and flush toilets.
