This state is particularly remarkable because of the friendly people, the laid-back vibe, and the ease with which one can get themselves to the nearby mountains, rivers, and lakes.

When you travel by RV in Idaho, Mackay Reservoir must be included in your list. There are a lot of campgrounds near the reservoir. However, I advise staying overnight at the Joe T. Fallini Campground.

Just southeast of the Salmon Challis National Forest is the Fallini campsite. It is situated north of the National Monument to the Craters of the Moon. The view of Shelly Mountain and Borah Peak is magnificent because it is situated between two mountains. Boat ramps with docks, picnic tables, fire rings,  and hookups with water and electricity are also available.

Idaho’s southernmost section contains Lava Flow. Directly adjacent to the Craters of the Moon National Monument and Preserve lies the campground. Blackfoot is two hours distant, while Twin Falls is one hour and forty minutes away by car.

The main season has higher rates than the off-season, when the campground’s water supply is cut off. The months of November and April are fee-free. The fact that credit cards are accepted for payment is fantastic. Passengers who have senior or access passes pay half price each day. Restrooms, water (during the season), charcoal grills, picnic tables, and a recycling center are all amenities.
