It’s no surprise that Illinois, also known as “the Prairie State” and “the Land of Lincoln,” is a popular RV destination. Chicago’s bright skyscrapers and Poplar Grove’s gently undulating farms provide a wide range of experiences and adventures!
Hikers, climbers, campers, and kayakers, among others, will find the mountains and rivers offer a wealth of recreational opportunities. The various museums and landmarks dedicated to the Civil War, Native Americans, and Abraham Lincoln may pique the curiosity of history aficionados.
Lollapalooza, one of the most well-known music festivals in the world, is only one of several annual events held in Illinois too.
Phil and I intend to plan our trip to Illinois around one of the many awesome festivals and can’t wait to check out some of the RV parks while we are there.
