Tickfaw State Park in Springfield is one of the smaller parks on this list and only has 30 spaces for camping setup, but it is also one of the nicest camping areas in Louisiana. Tickfaw is fascinating because, despite its tiny size, it is home to four different ecosystems.

You can get a taste of the Tickfaw River, a cypress swamp, a hardwood-pine mixed forest, and bottomland hardwood woods when visiting Tickfaw. While you fish, walk, or go canoeing, the kids can play in the water playground and gift shop. Additionally, this location has an 800-gallon aquarium filled with all of the Tickfaw River’s native fish.
