About midway between McComb and Tylertown, right off Highway 98, lies the Bogue Chitto Water Park and RV Campground. This part of southern Mississippi may not seem connected to the rest of the state, but it’s actually only a two-hour drive from the Louisiana border and only 90 minutes from the state capital of Jackson.

Camping sites have amenities such as water, sewer, and 20/30 amp electrical hookups as well as picnic tables and flush toilets. There is also a playground, perfect for families that are traveling in a travel trailer and need a place for their children to burn off some of their boundless energy. The name may make you think of a water park with a lazy river and thrilling water slides, but it actually refers to the Bogue Chitto River in Mississippi, which is a popular destination for outdoor activities.

D’Lo’s past community life centered on the Strong River, yet modern day campers still enjoy many water-based activities on this same river. Finding an RV rental in Simpson County and setting up camp at D’Lo Water Park Campground puts you in close proximity to the river’s most popular activities, such as canoeing, kayaking, and tubing.

There are as many places to park your RV and get electricity as there are RVs. There are 30/40/50-amp full hookup spots available. Moreover, the campsite’s playgrounds, walking trail, and sports courts should be enough if you are looking for a family-friendly site in the Jackson region.

This beautiful and peaceful campground in Vicksburg is conveniently located near all the city has to offer. The campground has a saltwater pool, playground, an outdoor pavilion with a kitchen, and a reception with free coffee. There are also propane service, laundry facilities, Wi-Fi, and restrooms/showers. The RV sites are pull-through, so even the largest motorhomes can stay there. There are complete connections available, as well as 20/30/50-amp power at the sites. Just across the street, you’ll find a fenced-in dog park with separate spaces for large and little dogs.

Bring together the conveniences of RV campground with the natural scenery of a state park that has changed little since the time of the first Native Americans to live there. The park has water, sewer, and 50-amp electrical connections for RVs, as well as a clean, modern bathroom with hot showers.

Outdoor dining is made more convenient by the presence of barbecues and picnic tables. For larger groups, there is both a rustic stone lodge and a picnic pavilion that may be used for meetings or banquets. There are mostly back-in locations, with only a few pull-through options.
