Location-wise, Santa Fe Skies couldn’t be better for seeing the city. The park’s location makes it easy to see all that Santa Fe offers. Leaving the freeway and entering the park was a breeze. Overall, the park was spotless, the maintenance was impeccable, and the staff was more than helpful.

A walking route and dog park may be found around the RV park. There is no cable TV, but Wi-Fi is free. Hiking trails abound, and there are 98 campsites total, 55 of which are pull-throughs and 43 of which require you to back in. There is water and 20/30/50 amp service at each site. Sewers are present in all but one of the locations.

Sandia Mountain Forest is home to the Turquoise Trail Campgrounds, which are just a couple of miles from Albuquerque’s vibrant city center and the famous Turquoise Trail. They include RV hookups, cabins, and tent sites in a mountain grassy field in the middle of Sandia’s undeveloped wilderness.

There are both back-in with water/electric sites and full-hookup, pull-through sites that provide 50/30/20 amps of power. For the comfort and safety of its tent guests, the RV resort maintains a separate area from the tent camping areas. There are cabins accessible for every budget, from the simplest to the most luxurious.

Located more than 40mi from the nearest supply of major artificial light, the Cosmic Campground has guidelines in place to ensure that everyone has a pleasant time stargazing.

Please remember that Cosmic Campground is just a basic campground with few facilities. There are only six RV sites available on a first-come, first-served basis, but those who want to take the phrase “sleeping beneath the stars” to the next level will find it well worth the effort.

For nearly a century, the land surrounding the Mujeres Valley Campground in Cibola County was illegally withheld from Indigenous people. Today, the 20-acre site serves as a BIPOC safe-space. The campground was designed to last and to minimize its impact on the environment.

There are 20 campsites and dry camping only.The grounds feature open areas, private areas, and public areas connected by pathways delineated by volcanic rocks and ancient trees. The Manzanos RV Park is a quaint and lovely spot. You will really appreciate the sense of seclusion afforded by the bushes that separated each tent site. Everyone working there is extremely nice and willing to assist visitors. Abundant flat ground and graveled sites. There is a fire pit, a patio, and swing set in the luxury site we were at. There is also a more upscale option with a roofed terrace. Camping in your motorhome in the beautiful and diverse landscapes of northern New Mexico is really an unforgettable experience.  Access to the remainder of the state is simple because of the intersection of Interstates 40 and 25; a number of the state’s most popular tourist destinations are within an hour’s drive.

In terms of serenity and proximity to Albuquerque’s conveniences, Coronado Campground is hard to match. There are water/electrical hookups at each site, as well as a common dump station for emptying the tanks of your rented RV. Volleyball courts, hiking trails, and the nearby river provide recreational opportunities.

The City of Rocks is a strange environment of massive geologic structures, formed million years ago as a result of a major volcanic eruption and slow erosion. The park occupies an area of one square mile in the Chihuahuan Desert and consists of massive rock skyscrapers.

The park is also dark sky site, so after a day of exploring the trails, mountain biking, wildlife viewing, and birding, you can pitch up a tent and relax in the cold desert air under the amazing night sky. This campsite is one of the more cost-effective options for either full hookups or dry/tent camping. There is no reservation system for this campground; guests can arrive whenever they like, and their dogs are welcome with some restrictions. Laundry facilities, restrooms, baths, a propane filling station, and locally resold goods can all be found in the office. Only 180 days per stay at this campground per year.

Chaco Culture National Historical Park

RV campers seeking a more secluded and authentic experience will like Chaco Canyon. Chaco Canyon is not only a UNESCO World Heritage Site but also an International Dark Sky Park, so after a day of visiting it, you may spend the night gazing at the stars.

Gallo Campground is a lovely, rough campground located just a mile east of  Visitor Center, and it is surrounded by inscriptions, petroglyphs, and cliff dwellings. Campground guests can choose one of four RV sites, each of which can accommodate a vehicle up to 35ft long. If you want to secure one of the few RV sites, you’d better come prepared. There are no services, such as connections, gasoline, vehicle maintenance, food, ice, or amenities.

Homestead RV Park is a great spot for individuals in need of a warm and welcoming place to stay. The park’s proximity to Four Corners is a major selling point, and the vast expanse of BLM territory to the north is ideal for adventurers. The park offers 50 parking spots. Some of the sites are 65ft long and all of them have full hookups. Wi-Fi can be used and tables at the campsites. A laundry facility, showers and dog park,  are among the additional facilities.

Taos Montebello RV Park

There are only 19 spots available at this secluded RV park behind gates. There is a lot of space, and the scenery of the mountains is spectacular. The park is located only a short distance from Taos’s busy downtown district, making it convenient for day trips. The owners are super nice and accommodating.

Accessible to all RV sizes. Wi-Fi, 30/50-amp power, and sewer hookups are all available at this campground. There is a nearby dump station for the three sites that don’t have sewer. You may easily park your RV at any of the sites because they are all pull-through, flat, and covered with gravel. An off-leash dog walking area, a corner store, and a laundry room are all available.

Alamogordo / White Sands KOA Journey

Located in the heart of Alamogordo, New Mexico. The campground was exceptionally tidy and well-maintained. All of the staff members are friendly and accommodating. Even better than the room is the pool. 

You will have a wonderful time here, and the location couldn’t have been better for seeing White Sands and the surrounding area. WIFI is free, and cable can be added for an additional fee. A decent signal might be received on one’s cell phone. Each campsite has full utilities and is on a flat surface. 

Little Vineyard RV Resort

Newly renovated, Oliver Lee Campground features everything from electrical/water hookups to dump stations for all your waste disposal needs. The park has excellent services for a State Park, including restrooms, showers, and even a laundry area. 

If you’re visiting the park with a large party, you can take advantage of the pavilions and shelters provided. White Sands National Monument, with its stunningly white sands, dunes, and native wildlife, is the top attraction in the area. Of course, you may also go hiking on some fantastic routes in the Oliver Lee area. 

Bottomless Lake State Park

There are only 32 campsites in the campground, but they all have access to running water and power, and six of them also have sewer connections. Ten extra tent-friendly campsites can be found in a more compact park. 

Not only is Bottomless Lake a great site to park your RV for the night, but it’s also great for fishing, swimming, and boating without the need of motors. It’s also only a 15-mile drive from Roswell, well known as the site of the 1947 UFO Incident.
