Phil and I have wanted to explore the northeastern coast for quite some time and now that we are moving into our Airstream full-time, we will have so many opportunities to finally do it.

Maryland has definitely been on the top of our list of places to visit because of the diversity and greenery you can find here.

Below you will find a compilation of the best rv parks in Maryland to choose from. We decided not to order this list in any way because each person is looking for their own unique experiences.

Cherry Hill RV Park in College Park is the nearest RV park and campground to Washington D.C., so travelers who want to visit the capital of the United States will undoubtedly want to park their RV here. One of the best RV vacations in the state is close to well-known sights including the College Park Aviation Museum, Lincoln Memorial, the National Museum of Natural History, and  World War II Monument.

How frequently do you enter an RV park with a sauna, hot tub, 18-hole miniature golf course, two enormous pools—one heated, the other with a walk-in beach—and free evening movies in an outdoor theater.  Add in a café selling anything from freshly prepared burgers to chocolate brownie sundaes. Get ready to take the most beautiful social media shots ever because Double G RV Park has them all.  It’s in Garrett County, and there are sunflower fields all around it. Swallow Falls and Deep Creek Lake, two of Maryland‘s most breathtaking sights, are located not far from the campground.

The lake is surrounded by boardwalk shops, spas, restaurants, and beaches. For a day on the sea, you may also rent kayaks and canoes. The campsite has full hookup sites or even RV storage facilities. In the fall, the lake’s surrounding nature is a stunning mosaic of reds, greens, oranges, and yellows , vistas you can wake up to straight from your RV in Double G.

On the northern edge of Hagerstown, Maryland, Castaways RV Resort & Campground is situated in a park-like environment with full hookups for any and all your camping needs. Ramblin’ Pines Campgrounds are situated around five miles from the illustrious Monocacy National Battlefield. As all of their parks are clearly segregated, this can be the spot for you if you’re searching for peace and quiet away from the masses of people who are public campers. They offer laundry, bathrooms, and showers in addition to full hookups.

In addition to weekend activities like bingo, hayrides, and movie night underneath the moonlight, they also provide activities and events during the week. Many of their locations also contain a convenience store. Even during  winter, there are plenty of activities you may engage in besides simply lounging around your RV and watching TV or playing video games. Some accommodations are close to ice skating ponds where you may spend time together skating and having fun.

Brunswick Family Campground

The Brunswick Family Campground, which is nestled between the Potomac River and the Chesapeake & Ohio Canal, is the ideal location for fishing, boating, and walking along the picturesque route by the canal. only a one-hour trip from either Washington, D.C., or Brunswick, where it is conveniently situated. like Baltimore. It has received a Certificate of Excellence from TripAdvisor.

There are tent sites, RV sites, and four rustic cottages for those who would prefer a little more serenity during their stay at the campsite, which is open from late spring to early fall. There are three sites with full hookups and 30 and 50-amp electric service for RVs. No matter which option they select, all visitors will have access to running water, bathrooms, community picnic spots, hot showers, and fire pits.

Take It Easy Campground is a family-friendly venue with approximately 250 campsites to select from. It has a lot of accessible amenities, like a fishing pond, swimming pool, chapel, and lots of pleasant picnic spaces with grills.

Campers can select from sunny or shaded sites, and the majority of them have complete connections. Hot showers and indoor restrooms are open to visitors, and there is free Wi-Fi everywhere in the building. Roaring Point Waterfront Campground offers a traditional camping experience in a stunning natural location and has been family-owned and run since 1974. All sites equipped with fire rings and picnic tables, and on-site facilities include a store, bathhouse, a playground, basketball and volleyball courts, and a picnic pavilion. You should take your family to the Greenbelt Campground as well. For hot summer days, this campground provides several sites with shade and full amenities. A large pool, a playground, and a recreation center with free wifi are all present.

They also provide events every weekend, such as bingo on Saturday nights, so you won’t ever be bored. On Sundays, the Grille Room provides breakfast from 8 to 11 am, and from May through September, there is live entertainment. You will most surely feel a sense of camaraderie here.

Greenbrier State Park

Another stunning and rustic campground is this one. Anyone who likes hiking will adore this campground. Numerous miles of hiking paths are close by. The same family has been in charge of this campground since 1996. In order to keep a fantastic campground within the family, it is well run. Everyone will be hospitable and pleasant to you. One of Maryland’s top RV campsites is Happy Hills Family Campground.

Poplar Grove Youth Group Campground

The flat campsites at Poplar Grove Youth Group Campground make it simple to stay for multiple days without needing to unplug. Each site also has access to electricity and water. They also feature a contemporary bathroom with hot water shower and facilities with flush toilets.

Popular activities include campfire circles and nature treks. There are 25 miles of trails in Catoctin Mountain Park, providing more options for trekking. Rocky Gap State Park

Rocky Gap State Park has more than 3,000 acres of property and a 243-acre lake that is ideal for boating and fishing all year long. It is surrounded by stunning mountains. The lake is surrounded by a 5.3-mile hiking track, and the campground’s visitors are only permitted to use its exclusive swimming beach.

There are 278 campsites available at the park’s campground, all of which have access to a hot water bathhouse and several of which include electrical hookups. The campsite has 15 cottages and a yurt, and guests can also rent a fully equipped chalet secluded in a quiet area of the park.

Washington DC / Capitol KOA Holiday

Washington DC / Capitol KOA has all you need for a comfortable stay while being tucked away in a gorgeous rural setting on the outskirts of Millersville and only a short distance from the capital. RV camping at Washington DC / Capitol KOA gives access to a varied selection of RV sites and is situated on 50 acres of rolling countryside. There is a pool in which you can cool yourself in the summer, in addition to a dog park where you can let your canine companions run around. Bay Shore Campgrounds

Bay Shore Campground, which is situated in Chesapeake Bay, is conveniently situated about 3 miles from Rock Hall. Many guests opt to stay here just to swim, fish, and enjoy the beach, even though there are plenty of stores and restaurants nearby.

A boat ramp, game room, a playground for kids, volleyball and basketball courts, and other facilities are also available. Assateague Island National Seashore

The area, which is situated on a long barrier island just off the coast of Maryland, is well-known for its Atlantic beaches and herds of wild horses that live there. RVs are permitted in both the Oceanside and Bayside drive-in sites, but no hookups are offered.

Everybody should go to this place to camp in an RV at least once in their lifetime. Activities like fishing,  surfing, swimming, hiking, horseback riding, and kayaking will keep you fit, energetic, and entertained for days in addition to allowing you to take some stunning images of the local fauna.

Little Orleans Campground

Since opening in 2005, Island Resort Campground has taken pride in offering an enjoyable getaway for the whole family. All campsites provide complete hookups, and guests without their own trailer can rent one.

Many guests like renting a kayak or a canoe and spending the day on the lake since the campsites face out onto a lake that has been stocked with fish for catch and release fishing. A heated pool is accessible when it’s too frigid to swim in the lake, and a sandy beach stretches along a portion of the lake.

Merry Meadows Recreation Farm

While the facility itself offers a virtually limitless variety of enjoyable activities and attractions, the neighborhood also offers 10 miles of stunning sandy beaches, award-winning dining, countless shopping opportunities, and close proximity to places like   Berlin, Salisbury Zoo, and Assateague Island.

Frontier Town Family Campground is unrivaled in terms of attractions and activities that are available on-site. Within the grounds, there is a waterpark, mini golf,  Jaws Exhibit,  Western Theme Park,  High Ropes Adventure Park, and Pony Island Arcade. If you have an RV lying idly in your garage, why don’t rent it out to another family so they may experience one of the state’s most family-friendly RV lodging options.

Cunningham Falls State Park

Cunningham Falls State Park, located in the breathtaking Catoctin Mountains, is home to a 43-acre lake, numerous winding streams, and the largest waterfall in the state. Two distinct locations, one containing more than 100 basic sites and the other with little more than 20 basic sites, are available for visitors to camp.

There are a few sites in each campsite with electric hookups, and reservations are strongly advised for both kinds of sites. Although the park is accessible to campers all year round, its full amenities are only offered from the beginning of April until the end of October.

New Germany State Park

One of Maryland’s best-kept secrets is New Germany State Park, a 483-acre area near to the Savage River State Forest. There are 12 full-service cabins available for rent at the park along with 48 woodland campsites, some of which may accommodate RVs. The park offers free equipment lending for campers through a unique program, and bookings can indeed be done over the phone. The park is a great place to recharge for a few days because there is no mobile service there, which visitors should be aware of.

Swallow Falls State Park

Swallow Falls State Park features some of Maryland’s most breathtaking scenery, including the state’s tallest waterfall and a forest of centuries-old hemlock trees. More than 60 sites with picnic tables and  fire pits are available at the campground, and each one has access to a hot water bathroom.

Additionally, there are three sites with complete connections; making reservations in advance is advised if you want to reserve one of these spaces. There are also three cottages with heaters and beds available for anyone who would want a little more comfort while they sleep. On weekends, all locations demand a two-night minimum stay.
