The Prairie Oasis Campground and Cabins are located midway Kearney and Lincoln on Interstate 80. Every single camping spot has full hookups and is a pull-through. The majority of the sites feature picnic tables and fire pits, and full hookups are available at the 50-amp electric sites and all except five of the 30-amp electric sites.
If you are staying at a campground that merely has electricity and water, don’t worry; there is a dump station on site. A paddleboats, fishing lake, restrooms, showers, underground storm shelter and a laundry room, are just some of the features that guests can enjoy during their stay. The dog-friendly park features horseshoe and sand volleyball court.

Renting an RV in Lincoln County is the best way to receive the full vacation experience, including downtime, adrenaline-pumping activities, and a charming tiny town. Boats and kayaks are available for rent near the exclusive lake, where you may enjoy a quiet day of fishing. Not only can you go for a swim, but you can also use the hiking trail and play some volleyball or horseshoes.

The campground is conveniently located among the town’s main attractions, including shops and museums, just on banks of Big Blue River. Both Lincoln and Omaha can be reached in under two hours from the RV park, and both are only an hour-drive to the north. Reserve a recreational vehicle in Gage County, Nebraska and travel freely around the state’s beautiful landscapes and popular tourist destinations.
This RV park is perfect for families because it has three playgrounds, and sports courts all within walking distance. There is also plenty of space to run about in, as well as horseshoe pits and a disc golf course. If you’d rather spend your time outdoors, you may go fishing in the river or hit the trails for some mountain biking. There are 42 campsites available at Nebraska Tailwaters Campground, which is located on the Nebraska side of the Missouri River downstream from Gavins Point Dam and Lewis & Clark Lake. Of these sites, 31 have electrical hookups, 11 do not, and the remaining sites are designated for tents only.
Picnic shelters, barbecue grills, and even vault toilets are all available. River frontage with fishing, a fish cleaning facility, boat ramp, and dump station are just some of the amenities at this campground. Cass County’s beautiful Louisville State Recreation Area spans 192 acres and is located on south bank of the Platte River. It is home to five sandpit lakes, one of which is open for swimming. Campground is open all year and has a great RV complex among the towering cottonwood trees.
There are 223 campsites available, each with its own electrical and water connections, fire rings, picnic tables, flush toilets, and hot showers, as well as a playground for kids. There is also a dump station and a total of 75 undesignated primitive sites in addition to the 13 all-weather pads that do not have electricity. Hiking, mountain biking, swimming, and fishing are just a few of the recreational pursuits available in the region.

The Windmill State Recreation Area is managed by Nebraska Game and Parks Commission and is located midway Grand Island and Kearney at the Gibbon Interchange in the distinctive “chain of lakes.” The 154-acre site known as Windmill Crossing features six ponds, picnicking, basic tent camping and a swimming beach.
The park, which was once a rest point for pioneers, now boasts numerous artificial lakes perfect for a wide variety of water sports, as well as modern camping amenities complete with electricity hookups, flush toilets, and hot showers, as well as picnic tables and fire pits.

Red Cloud Campground is a small campground just a mile down from Chadron State Park in the scenic Pine Ridge area, featuring 13 sites that include parking spots, pedestal grills, picnic tables, and vault toilets. Campers will have to bring their own supplies of drinking water as there is none available at the site.
Campers will appreciate the proximity to Pine Ridge Trail system, which includes the Strong Canyon and Outrider mountain biking trails and winds through breathtaking grasslands, canyons, and Ponderosa Pine woods, and a historic mining region. Camping, hiking, geocaching, wildlife and bird watching are just a few of the activities that may be enjoyed here.
Two Rivers State Recreation Area

The Two Rivers State Recreation Area is a 622-acre park to the southwest of Venice that features seven ponds totaling 320 acres right on the banks of the Platte River. Camping is available in ten seasonal camper cabins, and other outdoor pursuits including fishing, boating, swimming, and picnics are all available at this dense leisure area.
There are seven distinct camping areas, each with its own set of 209 cushioned sites suitable for tents, and RVs; each site also features a picnic table, fire ring, and electrical and water hookups; and a contemporary bathroom facility with a shower, flush toilets, and potable water. For those seeking a bit more luxury, eleven bright red cabooses have been renovated and furnished with patios, picnic tables, and grills.
Chadron State Park

About two miles to the west of Louisville, on the Platte River’s southern cliffs, is the Platte River State Park, a state park and public leisure area. Halfway from Omaha and Lincoln, this park features 519 acres of forest, steeply hilly landscapes and a wide range of amenities, including air-conditioned and heated overnight cabins, picnic tables, fire pits, and central shower and toilet facilities. Hiking, swimming, mountain biking, fishing, and pleasure boating are just some of the things that may be done, and teepees with wooden flooring and creature comforts are available for rent.

On the banks of Lake Ogallala, sometimes known as “little lake” due to its diminutive size in comparison to other bodies of water, is where you’ll find Lake Ogallala State Recreation Area. The 320-acre lake is popular with anglers for its abundance of trout and its calm waters, which make it ideal for swimming, canoeing, and picnicking.
There are 82 electric and water-hookup campsites at Lake Ogallala East Campground, as well as vault toilets, potable water, fire pits, and flush toilets.
