Connecticut is the third smallest state in the United States, but it certainly doesn’t lack for fascinating things to see and do. Prepared to be awed by the state’s natural beauty, which is reflected in its white picket fences, lush landscapes, glittering lakes, sandy beaches, and crashing waterfalls.

East Lyme’s Aces High RV Park is a year-round resort and park for premium RV camping. In 2001 and 2005, the ARVC named this renowned park “Small Park of the Year.” And it is still a wonderful place to visit today, over 10 years later!

This fantastic RV park offers first-rate RV parking and hookups. They also have a bonfire, a swimming pool, live music, and many others wonderful amenities.

They are open all year, but April 1 through October 31 is when they are busiest. You have the choice to remain all year round at this RV park too. Which is great for full-time rvers like us!

A pavillion, recreation area, cable TV, paddleboats, a camp store, and on site laundry are just a few of their other selling points.

Sun Outdoors Mystic

You can access Connecticut’s coastline shores and the quaint town of Mystic from this RV park. The expansive resort grounds of Sun Outdoors Mystic include luxury campsites, a heated pool, a playground, and pet-friendly places for our four-legged friends.

It is also conveniently located near the town’s many tourist attractions. One of the main tourist destinations in the state, the Mystic Seaport Museum, offers us campers access to a working shipyard, a planetarium, and old boats.

In a region of Connecticut known as “Mystic Country,” Hopeville Pond State Park is located just off I-345, about a half-drive hour’s north of New London and 45 minutes’ drive west of Providence. The state park spans more than 500 acres and includes the 130-acre Hopeville Pond as well as a sizable forested area surrounding it. The park’s administrative offices are located in the abandoned settlement of Hopeville, which is also located there. The so-called Avery House, which was constructed in the late 18th century, is one of the town’s last standing buildings.

Simply schedule your visit between May and September, as the campground is still closed during the winter. Rocky Neck State Park Campground doesn’t have any connections, but it does have lots of potable water and a dump station. There are hot showers and restrooms available for guests and visitors, and each camp has its own fire ring.

Tamarack Lodge & Glamping Resort
